Sources and methodology

Flexity Lab is run by Flexity s. r. o. We sell Elina Pilates worldwide and Merrithew and Align-Pilates in Slovakia and the Czech Republic, and those brands carry a "Sold by Flexity" label.

Every brand goes through the rules on this page. The label is the only place where our own sales show up.

Most values come from the maker: its website, its catalogue or the product documents it gives to dealers. Where the maker publishes nothing, we used a retailer's page. The table at the end lists the sources for every brand.

When a maker does not publish a value, the comparison says "not published". A filter on that value hides the model, because we cannot tell whether it fits.

We rank the sources: the maker's own documents first, then the maker's website, then our shop, then other retailers. The higher source wins, and the value is marked "to be confirmed" until the maker settles it.

All prices are in euros without VAT. VAT rates differ from country to country, so the price without VAT is the one that compares fairly wherever you buy. Add the VAT of your country to get the shop price.

• Prices published in euros with VAT, in our shop flexity.sk (23 %), on bodynova.de (19 %) and on medpoint.ee (24 %), are shown with that VAT taken off.
• Prices published in euros without VAT, as on basisystems.com, are shown as published.
• US list prices exclude sales tax. They are converted to euros at the rate on the day we checked them and are marked as an estimate.
• Retail prices in another currency (Polish zloty with 23 % VAT, British pounds with 20 % VAT, Australian dollars with 10 % GST) have the tax taken off, are converted to euros and are marked as an estimate.
• Where neither the maker nor a dealer publishes a price, the comparison shows none.

An estimate leaves out shipping and import duty. The dealer in your country gives the final price.

If you find a value that does not match the maker's own information, write to info@flexitylab.com with the model and the source.
